OK so here we go, when pulling this short list together I had to include Erik and Michaela. They are two very talented creators who take their inspiration from Marvel, Gaming and any big VFX films. Their content transports you into the heart of our favourite superheroes or fantasy setting.
Their social channels are a treasure trove for fans of Iron Man, Marvel characters, and epic lightsaber battles. The duo create short scenes using all their VFX knowledge capturing each scene with amazing detail, and you get the sense there having a great time doing it as well.
More and more creators are making content with VFX.
With tools becoming more available and accessible from affordable cameras, lighting, software even rendering is so much quicker now with what's on the market. It has empowered creators with the tools to not only imagine, but to actually take their ideas and make it reality. I have never met or spoken to Erik and Michaela but I would bet they have a possession for all things Marvel, gaming and all things VFX.
My PC is loaded with software, Blender, Unreal 5, twin motion and so many more, most of them opened once and then closed to gather digital dust. Taking that next step, going from learning how to use this software to becoming a teacher is something that takes time, you need to build up that knowledge base, learn from your mistakes and experiment.
Their content is tailor-made for the gaming and film clients, there is no wonder they are making content in this area, it's a perfect fit for that world. I don't think it should limit the types of brands or projects they can work on. One thing I find really interesting is that Erik does this as his day job, he clearly loves what he does and has worked across TV series to feature films. So with any brief that comes their way, you know they will be able to adapt and deliver quality content.
